Computer Basics Level 3 Bedford (wk 5 of 6)

When: Saturday, May 18, 2013 - 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where: Bedford Branch Library at Quilt Room

This course will include a variety of topics for home computer users to develop their skills. Topics are: More on Email, Computer Security, Computer Maintenance, Photo Editing, MCLS Catalog and Downloading books, and Facebook. Prerequisite for this course is at least a Level 1 Computer Basics or Senior Moments. For the email class you will need to have an active email account before the class. Registration is required.

Computer Basics Level 2 Bedford (wk 5 of 6)

When: Saturday, May 18, 2013 - 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Six Weeks - Beginner: Some Mouse and Typing skills helpful
This class builds on Computer Basics 1/Senior Moments 1 course. Participants will learn basic skills such as: how to use a mouse, build typing skills, computer vocabulary, turning the computer on and off, making personal adjustments, using the software program Paint, work with files, folders and shortcuts, Word Pad project, save to a CD, Intro to Internet, and getting maps and directions from Internet. There are hands-on exercises to reinforce skills from our Moodle learning site.

Computer Basics Forum - Ellis Library and Reference Center

This is an open computer forum where attendees are invited to hone their skills, ask questions, and learn something new about technology. You are welcome to bring your own laptop or other device with which you would like help. Mini topics will be discussed each month if time allows.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Basics Bedford (wk 3 of 4)

This is a four week series that will cover the fundamentals of PowerPoint; creating new slides, editing and formatting a presentation, inserting clip art and video, inserting transitions and animations, setting up timing, delivering presentation.

There will be hands-on exercises, along with group projects to reinforce skills.
